MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

Joining Bhangra Empire means bringing your full dedication—not just your talent. We expect every team member to uphold the highest standard of commitment, accountability, and growth. Here’s what that looks like:

  • Attend all practices on time – consistency and punctuality are non-negotiable.

  • Train on your own between practices to sharpen skills and master choreography.

  • Increase practice frequency as we approach performances—this is where champions are made.

  • Submit weekly video check-ins to track progress, improve execution, and stay aligned as a team.

Team practices are held twice a week in-person at Empire Studio in Pleasanton, and all members are expected to submit weekly practice videos as part of our growth process.

AUDITION INFORMATION

PLEASE NOTE: AUDITIONS ARE OPEN TO ANYBODY 18 AND OVER THAT LIVES WITHIN THE BAY AREA. YOU MUST FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW TO RESERVE YOUR AUDITION SPOT. WE HAVE LIMITED SPACE AVAILABLE SO IF YOU DO NOT FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW, YOU WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED AN AUDITION SPOT.

Auditions for the 2026-2027 year will be conducted in-person. We will be accepting a limited amount of members. Please find details below:

BHANGRA EMPIRE INTENSIVE WORKSHOP

The Bhangra Empire Intensive Workshop is the most effective way to prepare for Bhangra Empire auditions. Taught by the founders of Bhangra Empire alongside current and former Academy coaches, this workshop is specifically designed to give dancers the tools and knowledge needed to succeed during the audition process.

Although attendance is not required, we strongly recommend that all prospective dancers attend. During the workshop, we will cover the various footwork patterns, techniques, and foundational skills that dancers will be expected to demonstrate at auditions. We will also provide insight into what coaches are looking for when evaluating dancers and selecting teams.

Many dancers come to auditions unsure of what to expect. This workshop helps eliminate that uncertainty by giving participants a clear understanding of the audition process and an opportunity to develop the skills that will be assessed. If you are serious about joining Bhangra Empire and want to put yourself in the best possible position on audition day, this workshop is highly recommended.

BHANGRA EMPIRE INTENSIVE TICKETS

STEP 1: FILL OUT THE FORM BELOW

Please fill out the form below with the necessary information to let us know a little bit more about yourself as well as your experience in Bhangra and Dance. Make sure you fill out the form before the audition date.

STEP 2: ATTEND YOUR AUDITION SESSION AT EMPIRE STUDIO

At auditions, you will learn a 45-60 second segment in 60 minutes and audition in front of Bhangra Empire captains and choreographers shortly after performing the segment only one time. We will be looking for execution of the choreography, energy, and expression while dancing.

STEP 3: AUDITION RESULTS

After auditions conclude, we will be reviewing each persons audition video and will get back to you by the end of July.
